Seven times a day in the United States, someone dies in a home fire. Even more frequently, American Red Cross volunteers provide help to families who have lost their homes to devastating fires.  It's more important than ever that we all join together to save lives, reduce injuries and cut down on needless losses from home fires.

The rally point is the Township Building, 1500 Desire Ave, Feasterville, PA 19053. 

Registration and training starts at 8:30am. Teams will start canvassing from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Please note: Volunteers at these events should be able to walk comfortably on sidewalks and be able to use stairs while carrying up to 10 pounds.

If you are under 18, you must complete a parental consent form and bring it with you. Consent forms will also be available at the event registration table.

Please note that youth Home Visit Team Members must be 16 years of age at the time of the event with a completed parental consent form or, if under 16, need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Home visit teams usually consist of 3 positions:

  • Educator - Review a safety checklist with residents and help them complete a fire escape plan.
  • Installer - Install smoke alarms in homes and test them to ensure they work.
  • Documenter - Record each visit, obtain resident signatures and document the number of alarms installed.
