Please join us on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 for the Home Fire Campaign Service Event in Visalia. This is an impactful, fun, and simple way for volunteers from all walks of life to work together to provide a solution to a devastating national problem, home fires. Seven times a day in the United States, someone dies in a home fire and every 40 minutes a fire-related injury is reported. While home fires are the most common disaster facing Americans today, they are also the most preventable. Simply having a working smoke alarm in the home, reduces the risk of dying in a home fire by 50%! 

As the Central California Region celebrates its 100th Birthday, the Red Cross continues its mission to reduce fire related deaths and injuries in the U.S. by 25% within 5 years. Through the campaign's Install Events, the Red Cross teams up with Fire Departments, local partners, businesses, community groups, and amazing volunteers like you to install free smoke alarms and provide preparedness education to fellow residents throughout our community.

We are very excited to invite you to be a part of bringing this impactful campaign back to the city of Visalia!  We hope that you will join us and register today for the  Home Fire Campaign Service Event on  Saturday, December 9th, 2017 from  9 am to 4 pm.

Registration Form

If you are under 18 you MUST complete three forms: 1) Registration Form, 2) Parental Consent Form and 3) CIIPA Youth Form

Please return these prior to the event by email to veronique.royer@redcross.org or in-person on the day of the event.

If you are under 18 and have a complete account on Volunteer Connection we already have these forms on file--thank you!

Please note: Home Visit Team Members must be 16 years of age at the time of the event with the completed Forms.

  

All partner volunteers (i.e. non-registered volunteers) must fill out four forms in order to participate: the 1) Event Based Volunteer (EBV) Form, 2) CIIPA, 3) Code of Conduct, and 4) Media Release.  

These can be printed, completed, and returned by email to veronique.royer@redcross.org before the event, or this can be done the morning of the event.

  

An email with all important instructions and details for the event will be sent out the Wednesday before the event.
