DCS: Sheltering Team Member

The role of Sheltering Service Associate is to serve as a member of a temporary work unit on a disaster relief operation to successfully complete their assigned areas of responsibility on a disaster relief operation. They ensure safe sheltering at a single shelter throughout the cycle of the disaster.

*DCS: Disaster Action Team (DAT) Member 18+

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) department. Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are local, personal disasters like home fires. Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery. The Disaster Action Team (DAT) Member supports capacity building activities necessary to ensure effective service delivery during a DAT response.

DCS GAP: SS_Disaster Event-Based Volunteer Service Associate

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. The Role of the Disaster Event-Based Volunteer Service Associate is to support the recruitment, intake, scheduling, and placement of Disaster Event-Based Volunteers (D-EBVs), non-disaster local community volunteers, and new organizations.
