Military Family Follow-up Casework

This position supports the Regional SAF department and can be virtual a (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. Ensure military families are supported and their needs are met when faced with an emergency.

*Volunteer to support Military Families/Veterans

There are many volunteer positions that support Military members, their families and Veterans. For example: You can volunteer helping in Military Treatment Facilities* and at Veterans Administration (VA) Hospitals*

You can support events like-Military Stand-downs, Yellow Ribbon Events, Parades, Runs, Tabling and other similar events.

You can help virtual (volunteer-from-home) to ensure that military families know they are supported by the Red Cross from the first day in the military through life as a veteran. We have in person opportunities at the following locations:

 Kansas:

Fort Riley- Junction City/Fort Riley Kansas

McConnell Air Force Base- Wichita/McConnell AFB Kansas

Topeka VA- Topeka Kansas*

Wichita VA- Wichita Kansas*

 

Oklahoma:

Altus Air Force Base- Altus Oklahoma

Claremore VA- Claremore Oklahoma*

Fort Sill- Lawton/Fort Sill Oklahoma

Muskogee VA- Muskogee Oklahoma*

Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Site Volunteer - OKC

This position supports the regional Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or performing work in an American Red Cross facility. Manage the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) outreach program that provides recruits and their families with information to access the Hero Care Network services when faced with an emergency.
