Disaster Dispatcher - Day or Night Shift - VIRTUAL

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) department. Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are local, personal disasters like home fires. Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery. The Disaster Action Team (DAT) Duty Officer ensures timely activation and monitoring of local and regional DAT responses. The Duty Officer supports the DAT program either at the chapter/territory or region level.

This position supports the Regional Disaster Services department. Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are local, personal disasters like home fires. Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery. Disaster Action Team (DAT) Specialists respond to local disasters and provide immediate compassion and care to clients.

*Volunteer virtually to dispatch teams to help those affected by disaster

Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery. DRO: Disaster Health Services Service Associate

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. Disaster Health Services (DHS) Service Associate (SA) is a temporary position assigned to work in person before, during and/or after a disaster event this hurricane/wildfire season. Volunteers in this role provide assistance and healthcare to shelter residents as needed.

DRO: Disaster Spiritual Care Service Associate

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. The role of the Disaster Spiritual Care (DSC) Service Associate is to serve as a member of a temporary work unit on a disaster relief operation to provide disaster spiritual care support to individuals and families who have been impacted by a disaster.

DRO: Disaster Mental Health Service Associate

Disaster Mental Health Service Associate (DMH/SA) is an operational position assigned temporarily to work before, during, and/or after a disaster event. Responders in this position provide disaster mental health support to individuals and families who have been impacted by a disaster.   This position supports the mission of the American Red Cross by providing quality mental health support to clients and workers in order to reduce the impact of trauma and support recovery.
