Food Pantry: Volunteer - Boston

Food Pantry: Volunteer - Boston

The Boston Food Pantry provides a 5-day supply of nutritious food once a month to food insecure people - over 300,000 people annually, making it one of the largest emergency food pantries in Boston. Our client base is ethnically and culturally diverse with many languages spoken - Chinese, Creole, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese among them. The pantry also provides SNAP (food stamps) screening for benefit eligibility and assistance with the application process. Our program has an in-staff dietician providing nutrition outreach and our program collaborates with nutrition programs at local universities.
