NHQ:ISD-PREP-Communication and Information Management Specialist
This volunteer position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services (ISD) Climate Team. We are looking for an experienced communication and information management assistant to support internal communication and information management flows for ISD’s Climate Initiative, such as upward reporting as well as documenting and sharing success stories across teams internally. While this role may occasionally matrix to the team responsible or external communications it is envisioned to be 90% internally oriented.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with internal communications materials relating to climate work to ISD staff. Contributing to the organizational structure of Climate Initiative projects, documents, materials, etc.
- Coordinating with Climate Team and regional representatives (Asia Pacific (AP) and Latin and Caribbean (LAC) to highlighting success of climate work within ISD’s priority and climate countries.
- Coordinating with Global Disaster Preparedness Center (GDPC) and Preparedness staff and volunteers to develop climate knowledge engagement plans.
- Supporting the socialization of Climate Initiative work across internal teams Support information management requests for internal reporting to ARC leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, public relations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years’ experience of communications strategies for large organizations (NGO-preferred)
- Familiarity with corporate public relations
- Familiarity with Microsoft teams
- Experience designing and editing infographics
- High organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Experience in climate/environmental work
