NHQ:ISD - PREP - Caribbean Climate Program Manager
This volunteer position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services (ISD) Preparedness Team. We are looking for an experienced program manager to support overall implementation and monitoring of new and ongoing climate work within several Latin America-Caribbean (LAC) countries, including Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and more.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Climate Team and LAC deputy director/leaders on the updates to ongoing climate work in Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
- Support with delivery of key documentation from LAC countries, including climate strategies, Strategic Partnership Plans (SPP), and Climate Partnership Plans (CPP), etc.
- Regularly meet with Climate Team and LAC leaders to (1) anticipate any issues with LAC countries and (2) assist with problem solving of existing issues.
- Track the implementation of activities within the countries of current USAID funded projects and Climate Initiative work. Support the reports and monitoring and evaluation practices in several LAC countries. Generate case study narratives from collected data to inform program management and illustrate best practices.
- Engage with national society partners and other stakeholders to collect and synthesize information based on field experience.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s in business administration, communications, marketing or other related fields.
- At least 2 years of program management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong skills in synthesizing large amounts of information for a general audience
- Bilingual Spanish speaker (native speaker preferred)
