This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services Department (ISD) International Disaster Response (IDR), Roster team. This is a 100% remote (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. This role will collaborate with the Anticipatory Action Program Manager and Response and Recovery Communication Strategy Communications Lead within the Response and Recovery team to create graphic materials to raise awareness and understanding of Anticipatory Action program. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Response and Recovery team to support website design and content marketing for Anticipatory Action program. Help generate new ideas for design and content creation. Scope and create digital content for program. Support other design needs such as presentations, signage, reports, and proposals. Work with the communications strategy lead on program initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
- A strong eye for visual composition.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience in web design
- Experience using graphic tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or Pictochart.
- Resume required - 2+ work samples required.
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of anticipatory action and/or disaster mitigation and/or community resiliency

Length of Appointment
