This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) department. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home) opportunity.
The Wildfire Preparedness Program Pilot Logistics Manager creates program efficiencies across the participating regions and use tools such as detailed timelines, RACI charts, and other logistics tools so the new Wildfire Preparedness Program Pilot phase 2 will be a success.

Key Responsibilities
- Craft a master timeline for the Wildfire Preparedness Program Pilot.
- Update on an ongoing basis.
- Be instrumental in gathering visit reports and resident contact information to research supplier.
- Be a dedicated scheduler for key team events, such as training sessions, manager updates, and feedback focus groups.
- Possibly organize training and resident visit material to be delivered to each region.
- Introduce the team to Scrum Master approaches helping the team be effective, improving our practices, assist in removal of impediments, align stakeholders, and making sure team progress is done in a positive, productive way and kept within the timebox.
- Be a consistent champion of Red Cross values and missions.
- Participate in virtual cross-functional team meetings.
- Work effectively within a governance structure.
- Provide status on project assignments.
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Experience in an administrator, project management or team coordinator role for any Red Cross Disaster Response or project at work or another non-profit
- Ability to develop and use organizational efficiency tools in a team setting or in a logistics role
- Demonstrated ability to create greater clarity around workstreams and help keep communications open in terms of scheduling series of meetings
- Excellent online communication skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based programs, such as a SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and other team organization software
- Experience using Outlook to schedule multiple stakeholders for mutually available times
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
Preferred:
- Scrum-type or project facilitator training
- Resume included with application
Note: Some travel could be needed if regions need/desire in-person training.
Training
No prerequisites. Onboarding will include: Wildfire Prep Project and project expectations Microsoft teams (if needed)

Length of Appointment
December 2022 - June 2023. Renewable as mutually agreed
Time Commitment
: 2 - 6 hours per week and must be available to participate in a project occurring during: May – July 2023
