This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services Department (ISD) Response and Recovery (R&R) team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Response and Recovery, this position supports the continuous improvement and socialization efforts related to the R&R team’s Concept of Operations (ConOps). This position will work closely with the Operations Team to disseminate, communicate and monitor the adoption of ConOps changes throughout the R&R team. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop material to communicate ConOps changes to International Services
- Identify and design learning materials to support adoption of ConOps changes
- Coordinate socialization and learning sessions with relevant audiences
- Organize ConOps material in SharePoint with user needs in mind
- Gather and log ConOps change requirements from R&R stakeholders
- Support briefings to leadership explaining ConOps changes
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Familiar with communicating policy or tool changes to teams using a variety of methods
- Experience developing formal and informal learning materials
- Comfortable monitoring, maintaining and developing work plans with minimal input
- Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs and commitment to the American Red Cross principles.
- Strong leadership and facilitation abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Cultural sensitivity; promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion.
- Interest and/or understanding of Red Cross and/or international disaster response & recovery operations.
- Has good organizational skills and ability to publish and present work through tools in the MS Office suite, especially SharePoint
- Can format and maintain digital records, documents, and tools in a manner that is accessible to the entire team
- Has skills or interest in digital user experience (UX)
- Has experience or interest in supporting change management through effective communication products and strategies
- Ability to work well both independently and in teams.
