The NHQ:BIO Recognition Support Specialist primary responsibility is to provide tactical tools and recognition calendar with resources designed to enhance employee and volunteer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Biomed Process Excellence and leadership team in achieving its Employee Engagement goals and performance targets.
  • Maintain an annual recognition calendar in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prepare monthly recognition calendar in Power Point for departments, participants and high-quality communication in-print and online, with links to pertinent resources, logos, social networks, and toolkits.
  • Select calendar topics & activities with the cultural profile and diversity, Biomedical Services and the Red Cross community in mind.
  • Develop relationships within interested teams that will assist with the resourcing and scheduling of special events.
  • Meet with other recognition stakeholders to drive additional recognition strategies and tactics forward.

Required:

  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually.
  • Enthusiastic interest in determining events and days to recognize and celebrate Red Cross constituents.
  • Cultural sensitivity to diverse audiences.
  • Works independently yet can collaborate with others.
  • Values volunteer involvement and contributions.
  • Strong desire to recognize volunteers and employees for contributions. 
  • Interest in the field of communications or human resources. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Reliable access to computer, Microsoft office, and internet needed to volunteer 100% virtually.
  • Detail oriented

Preferred:

  • Knowledgeable and particularly understands the organization engagement goals, objectives, and current available services. 
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on events and days pertinent to Red Cross employees and volunteers

Length of Appointment

Minimum 6-month commitment, renewable
