This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Sustainability & Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. Volunteer will need reliable access to resources needed to volunteer virtually. The Volunteer Project Manager is a key player in Sustainability projects within the Fleet Portfolio and will have Project Management expertise. This position will be a member of the Sustainability & ESG team and will be assigned to manage one or many Fleet projects as availability allows.

Key Responsibilities
The Volunteer Project Manager will be responsible for managing Fleet-related Sustainability projects through to completion, including:
- Stakeholder management risk management
- Creating and maintaining project documentation (e.g. Project Charter, Project Plan, WBS, etc.)
- Supporting Project Team on reporting requirements
- Shepherding project team to hit WBS milestones
Qualifications
Required:
- Project Management Certification required (PMP preferred)
- 5+ years of Project Management experience
- Broad understanding and experience implementing fleet-related projects, including HV, EV, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to organize and present information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences
- Enthusiastic about the American Red Cross mission and Sustainability programs
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
Preferred:
- Prior experience managing Fleet for a large-scale, complex operation
- Expertise in alternative fuels (electric/hybrid), transportation logistics, and emissions
Training
- Orientation to the American Red Cross
- On-the-job training with supervisor

Length of Appointment
