This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Financial Development (FD) department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The Data Hero Volunteer will help us improve our fundraising data as a vital member of the End-to-End can do it all team. Our team provides wide range of support with a focus on bridging the gap between Business and IT, and we are looking for someone who would enjoy helping in any of the following areas of expertise: - Data Analysis: Organize data sets, fix data, update data tables - System Testing: Analyze test requirements and build files necessary for user testing - Business Analysis: Write process documentations, assist with project management - Disaster Support: Rapidly shift gears to support major disasters remotely - Data expertise: Teach our team new data analysis skills

Key Responsibilities
A Data Hero Volunteer will have many remote-working options to help us by improving our fundraising data as a vital member of the End-to-End can do it all team. Our team provides wide range of data-related support with a focus on bridging the gap between Fundraising Operations and IT, and we are looking for someone who would enjoy helping in any of the following roles:
- Data Analyst: Research and analyze fundraising data, correct data errors, and improve data sets
- Programmer: Develop automated process to analyze large data sets, create user friendly apps
- Salesforce Developer Support designing, coding, and implementing CRM solutions
- System Testing Support Analyze test requirements and build files necessary for user testing
- Data Science Librarian Organize documents online and improve data management
- Business Analyst Write process documentations and assist with project management
- Disaster Support Rapidly shift gears to support major disasters remotely
- Data expert Teach data science topics Expertise level: We welcome novice to expert Key Responsibilities
For data projects, take ownership of data sets and improve data quality
For programming projects/concepts, gather requirements and develop user friendly apps
For Salesforce, support developers on new implementations and fixing functionality issues
For data management, develop a data management process that is efficient to organize and access, update data tables
For system testing, provide support to the lead testing coordinator
For business analysis, this role evolves around technical topics that requires documentation and presentation type of products
For disaster support, provide any type of support that might be needed
For data expertise, bring any learning resources that could expand our knowledge frontier
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerBI and SharePoint
- Experience in Jira, Salesforce, SAP Business Objects or Webi
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
Training
Training will include direct application guidance based on experience and formal instructions to new areas if there are interests.
