This position supports the Divisional (DIV) Humanitarian Services Operations (HSO) department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The Volunteer Partner to the Division Operations Manager will work closely with the Division Operations Manager to provide strategic support in the areas of information management, administration, and project management. The Division Operations Manager (DOM) provides a wide range of technical, training, and compliance support for all regions within the American Red Cross network. Strategic support will include regional relationship management, project support, database management, and support in ensuring compliance of FDA regulated activities and managing key documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Edge transcripts for Pacific Operations employees and volunteers and assist with issue resolution
  • Support Database management for the eMax facilities maintenance program
  • Maintain the Capital Project Schedule and coordination of the approval documentation
  • Provide support for ensuring compliance of System 5 FDA regulations across the Division
  • Regular reviews of Pacific Division facilities expenses for expense anomalies (Looking for savings opportunities and document justifications for overages)
  • Monthly tasks to maintain the flow of regulated documents from SharePoint to SmartSolve (Possible support for the Enterprise)
  • Monitor fleet vehicle inventories across the Pacific Division
  • Collaborate w/Division Operations Manager to provide support for special projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
  • Highly organized and established ability maintaining records for multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience with database management for scheduling or project management programs.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Excel and , SharePoint, Word, Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience working with work order or ticket type business management systems
  • Familiar with General Ledger (GL) reviews and basic corporate finance management tasks.
  • Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with facilities maintenance or construction management programs.

As a division level volunteer for the operations department supporting biomedical services, there will be many EDGE training classes made available to this volunteer to help improve their ability to provide support in a regulated environment.

Length of Appointment

Minimum 1-year commitment; renewable

Time Commitment

10 - 15 hours per week, with some availability during business hours.
