This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or perform work in a Red Cross facility. The ESG Workforce Engagement Leader will partner the Sr. Director Sustainability & ESG Programs and other program and project leaders to lead and coordinate workforce engagement in climate change, sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) projects, programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities
At the request of the Chief Sustainability Officer and in partnership with the Sr. Director, Sustainability & ESG Programs, the ESG Workforce Engagement Lead will:
- Plan, implement and coordinate programs for engaging volunteers and employees in climate change, sustainability and ESG projects, programs and activities.
- Identify volunteers and employees to staff climate change, sustainability and ESG projects and work groups.
- Partner with Volunteer Services on the design, development, recruitment, and engagement of Sustainability Champion volunteer positions.
- Partner with communications staff and other internal partners to develop workforce communications related to climate change, sustainability and ESG projects, programs and activities.
- Coordinate and lead work groups, forums, focus groups, presentations and events (primarily virtual) and other gatherings of Red Cross volunteers and employees, forcused on climate change, sustainability and ESG.
- Provide support and coordination for the NHQ Sustainability and ESG volunteer team.
Qualifications
Required
- Knowledge of and experience in sustainability, climate change and/or ESG programs.
- Strong experience with organizational change management.
- Experience with leadership development and/or training.
- Experience with team leadership, volunteer management, HR and/or workforce management.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience which includes program and project management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading cross-functional projects of varying complexity across a geographically dispersed organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Previous experience preparing, presenting, and discussing information and materials in groups of various sizes.
- Facility with remote collaboration tools including MS Teams or similar.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
Preferred:
- Degree in organization dynamics, leadership development, change management, human resources or similar.
- Experience establishing a corporate sustainability program.

Time Commitment
4-8 hours per week
Availability during business hours will be required, though the majority of work should be able to be accomplished during evenings and weekends, if desired.
