This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Chief Finance Office (CFO) Workforce Planning team. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The purpose of this position is to ensure that new CFO unit volunteers starting in Finance, Information Technology, and Real Estate Services are supported and welcomed as part of a wide variety of end-to-end on-boarding processes completed prior to their transition to their supervisor in the CFO unit.

Remote/Virtual Volunteer Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming shared mailbox responsibilities in Outlook
  • Manage and update a SharePoint list containing onboarding status tracking
  • Manage and update internal tracking systems as needed
  • Coordinate activities with others on the team as well as CFO unit points of contact to ensure timely processing
  • Manage and craft outgoing email messages as needed



  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Excel and MS Teams
  • Excellent organization skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain large volume tracking processes that include multiple systems
  • Ability to prioritize to meet established timelines
  • Cultural sensitivity to diverse audiences
  • Access to a phone (to include long distance), computer and reliable internet
  • Resume required

Length of Appointment

6-month minimum commitment, renewable as mutually agreed.

Time Commitment

Approximately 4-6 hours per week, working remotely, but could vary depending on department workload. Some of the hours will be between the hours of 9-5 M-F Eastern time zone, the rest are flexible.
