This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Chief Innovation Office (CIO) team. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity). The Innovation Team Volunteer Partner supports the NHQ:CIO (Innovation Team) on projects, such as engaging a network of volunteers to contribute to social/open innovation efforts, user interviews and research, app beta testing, project management or project execution.

Remote/Virtual Volunteer Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with projects such as:
    • social/open innovation efforts
    • user interviews and research
    • app beta testing
    • project management
    • project execution
  • Supervise a team of user tester volunteers
  • Attend weekly and/or biweekly team meetings



  • Experience creating technology products (such as websites or mobile applications)
  • Understanding of American Red Cross philosophies
  • Understanding of project management
  • Experience supervising a team of volunteers or employees


  • American Red Cross Orientation
  • On the Job Training will be provided as appropriate
