NHQ:SAF - MVCN - Content Curator
This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Services to Armed Forces (SAF) team. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity). The Military Veteran Caregiver Network (MCVN) Content Curator will be responsible for locating and reviewing articles, websites, and/or events focused on military and veteran caregivers and their families. This information will be shared within the MVCN Caregiver Community to help caregivers connect and engage with peers, make informed decisions, and feel confident in their care-giving role.

Key Responsibilities
- Locate and review articles, websites, and/or events focused on military and veteran caregivers and their families.
- These may include support services and opportunities for caregivers, veterans, and families, relevant current events, finances, employment, education, benefits and services, mental and physical health (specific to the military/veteran/caregiver population and aging-related), and substance use disorders.
- Compile a monthly list of upcoming caregiver-focused events for distribution in the MVCN Online Community and Caregiver Calendar.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to conduct research online using credible sources.
- Familiarity with or connection to the military or veteran community.
- Experience researching and reviewing articles, websites and events for a specific audience.
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
Preferred:
- Content calendar experience.
- Experience with DoD, VA, and veterans service organizations.
Training
Training will be provided as part of onboarding for the position and will include a thorough review of the MVCN Online Community, our mission, population served, and community needs.
