NHQ:DCS - Preparedness Programs - Spanish Emergency App Reviewer

This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) team, specifically the Preparedness Programs team. This is a 100% remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity). The Spanish Emergency App Reviewer will review and provide recommendations as necessary to ensure the information on the Spanish App accurately communicates the information included in the English language version.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Review content on the Spanish Emergency App to ensure information is communicated accurately and provide recommendations to improve language/translation
  • Escalate issues to Team Leader when necessary
  • Support process / product improvements
  • Improve efficiency and performance by identifying opportunities to enhance internal processes and propose improvements to the functionality of the Spanish Emergency App. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
  • Proficient in Spanish writing, editing, and speaking in a style that is neutral in tone/dialect, required
    • Note: A Spanish proficiency test must be completed as a part of the interview process for this position.
  • Experience translating English language materials into Spanish
  • Experience providing feedback for product improvements or internal processes
