This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Information Technology (IT) End User Services (EUS) team. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or perform work in a Red Cross facility. The IT EUS Volunteer Coordinator assists with the Information Technology End User Support Volunteer Program, including volunteer registration, placement and follow-up. Performs administrative tasks such as development and maintenance of program portal/website information, reports, supporting documentation and communications. Typically works and communicates with individuals within IT and occasionally with contacts outside of IT. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home) opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the IT EUS Volunteer Support Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator will:
- Support IT EUS Volunteer Program, implementation, maintenance
- Coordinate recruitment, placement, on-boarding and retention of IT EUS volunteers
- Develop, support and engage IT EUS volunteers as equal team members
- Support communication, awareness and training activities
- Deliver and support continuous improvement plans and activities
- Interact with IT EUS leadership as tasks are assigned
- Provide general administrative support and assist with maintaining IT EUS Volunteer Program portals and websites
- Support and engage other IT EUS volunteers and support communication, awareness and training activities
Qualifications
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication required
- Strong organizational and planning skills required
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office, O365 Services, etc. required
- Knowledge of Volunteer Connection is preferred
- Driving results & delivering value required
- Interpersonal skills including the ability to create and maintain collaborative work relationships within IT EUS as well as external stakeholders required
- Knowledge of Red Cross business practices, familiarity with Volunteer engagement and experience coordinating day to day activities required
- The ability to multi-task and maintain effectiveness when priorities and/or objectives change required
- Business communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization required

Development Opportunities
This position provides the opportunity to expand upon internal knowledge of Red Cross IT Business practices while supporting our volunteers.
Length of Appointment
6-12 months with reappointment as mutually agreed
Time Commitment
Schedule is flexible - generally 1 to 3 hours per day, 3 - 4 days per week but must be able to participate in core meetings and communicate/adhere to a dependable schedule
