DIV:DCS - Financial and Statistical Information Division Advisor (Pacific)

This position supports the Divisional (DIV) Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) team. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The Financial and Statistical Information (FSI) Division Advisor will advise and support the overall FSI activity program during steady-state and operational periods. The FSI Division Advisor will work with regions, division and national Leadership to define and articulate the overall strategy for the FSI function within the division in accordance with the FSI standards and procedures. The Advisor understands FSI Guidance and helps Regional Leads navigate questions and issues around activity implementation and management.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership:

  1. Supports FSI Leadership to ensure volunteers remain supported and active in the FSI Activity.
  2. Ensures chapters/regions implement and adhere to applicable Red Cross standards and procedures.
  3. Communicates training and development opportunities to all members of the FSI activity.
  4. Provides leadership and technical guidance to FSI team members.
  5. Serves as FSI subject matter expert and has general knowledge of all areas of Disaster Cycle Services.
  6. Assists in developing and training new FSI leaders in the region

 

Functional:

  1. Supports Regions in the oversight of FSI management and tracking of consistent and standardized service delivery.
  2. Advocates for ensuring required training for FSI activity is available to all team members.
  3. Advises in support to ensure that regional and national guidance is widely communicated and observed.
  4. Creates and maintains divisional implementation plan for FSI related doctrine updates as necessary using on-site training, webinars, conference calls, and meetings.
  5. Advises and coaches development of FSI capacity through coordination of recruitment, training, and mentoring efforts.

 

Additional Duties:

  1. Advocate to National on behalf of its regions and represent the division on workgroup type meetings
  2. Collaborate with National on FSI Program work 

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial or statistical monitoring and evaluation, required
  • Experience leading or facilitating teams in a virtual environment, required
  • Experience facilitating Microsoft Teams meetings (including monitoring chat) and utilizing Teams Channels, required
  • Experience using Microsoft products, including Teams and Forms, required
  • Available to attend monthly team calls on the third Thursday of every month from 2:00 - 3:00 pm PST.
