Central CA: Disaster Preparedness Team Member (In-person/Virtual)

But did you know, it’s also part of our mission to help people prepare? As a Preparedness Presenter you can help educate individuals, youth, families, and communities on actions to reduce the risk of a disaster, prepare to respond effectively and how to cope with disasters when they happen.

Key Responsibilities
Our training provides age-appropriate information, so as a presenter you can choose whether to work with youth and/or adults by learning how to virtually present a tailored curriculum. You may also help with:
- Community outreach to find organizations, schools, or businesses who are interested in have a presentation for their members
- Helping to refine and edit training materials
- Plan for preparedness programming through participation in meetings, projects, and local preparedness activities
Qualifications
- Ability to relate effectively with diverse groups and individuals
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and review program guidelines and tools
- This work requires access to a phone and computer.
