Support the National Headquarters (NHQ) Biomedical Services (BIO) team from the comfort of your home in this 100% virtual position.

We are on a mission to modernize a critical business application's and we need a passionate .NET Core Engineer to help lead the charge. In this role, you'll play a key part in transforming a legacy Microsoft Access system into a powerful, scalable web application backed by SQL Server. You'll leverage your expertise in .NET Core and front-end technologies to accelerate development, while diving deep into the existing Access codebase to replicate and enhance its functionality in a modern architecture.

Working in a Scrum Agile environment, you'll collaborate closely with engineers, stakeholders, and business owners all within a fully remote team using Microsoft Teams to stay connected and aligned.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Web-Application Development:
    • Develop and implement web application features using .NET Core and front-end technologies to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Microsoft System Experience:
    • Analyze and interpret the existing Microsoft Access application to accurately replicate and enhance its functionality within a modern web-based architecture.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate effectively with software engineers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional team members in a Scrum Agile environment to align development efforts with business goals.

Required:

  • Proficient in ASP.NET Core.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019.
  • Strong knowledge of C# Programming.
  • Familiar with Entity Framework.
  • Competent in using Source Control systems.
  • Virtual Volunteering:
    • Reliable access to resources needed for 100% virtual volunteering.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of MS Access.
    • The team can explain how the MS Access application works and how it is designed.
  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually

Development Opportunities
