As a Blood Services Engagement Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in strengthening relationships with our current volunteers—all from the comfort of your home. This fully virtual role helps ensure volunteers feel valued, supported, and motivated to continue delivering life saving services across the region. You’ll help track engagement, celebrate volunteer contributions, and elevate the volunteer experience by staying connected with individuals throughout their Red Cross journey. Your outreach, communication, and encouragement help volunteers stay active, informed, and confident in their roles — keeping our mission strong and our teams ready to respond whenever communities need us. Key Responsibilities
- Create Meaningful Connections: Partner with the Biomedical Volunteer Engagement Team to deliver uplifting, positive engagement experiences that help volunteers feel welcomed and supported from day one.
- Welcome New Volunteers: Conduct warm, encouraging post‑shift check‑ins after a new volunteer’s first shift to help them feel confident, connected, and excited to continue.
- Empower Volunteers Through Clarity: Assign tasks and help coordinate engagement projects that give volunteers confidence, direction, and purpose in their service.
- Inspire Continued Impact: Share additional volunteer opportunities that match each volunteer’s passion, encouraging them to grow, explore, and deepen their involvement.
- Help Volunteers Stay Connected: Routinely check roster activity to make sure volunteers feel noticed and engaged. Keep records current and work with Volunteer Services on end‑date requests to support a seamless volunteer experience.
- Capture the Story of Engagement: Log meaningful touchpoints and activities in Volunteer Connection to help keep the volunteer experience seamless and supported
- Use Data to Drive Joyful Engagement: Manage Volunteer Engagement Indicator reports to help identify wins, trends, and opportunities to uplift the volunteer journey.
- Champion a Positive Experience: Provide thoughtful follow‑up and help create strong feedback loops that ensure volunteers feel valued every step of the way.

Length of Appointment
One year appointment, renewable annually based on satisfactory performance of position.
Time Commitment
