This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Humanitarian Services (HSO) and Operations teams. This is a 100% remote (volunteer-from-home) position.
The Business Intelligence and Analytics position supports information management, reporting, dashboarding and analysis for Humanitarian Services and Operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Analyst(s) in the development of new reports and dashboards
- Create Power BI dashboards and reports from diverse sources
- Sustain and improve existing reports and dashboards
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Build visualizations that align to HS visualization standards.
- Comprehend data requirements and deliver solutions that are in line with business goals
- Connect and integrate data for comprehensive and actionable reports
- Maintain technical documentation for dashboards
- Integration of SharePoint Apps and Microsoft Power BI capabilities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Reliable access to resource needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Experience (2-3+ years) with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI reporting tool
- Experience integrating Power BI and Sharepoint platforms
- Strong understanding of reporting requirements and data dependencies
- Experience in Power BI dataflows and sematic models
- Flexible and creative self-starter
- Strong analytical skills
- High attention to detail; ability to proactively spot errors
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams
- Passion for the Red Cross mission

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
Preferred:
- Power BI Certification
- Power BI developer experience
- Experience creating dashboards from data model to dashboard
- Previous experience working with relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, etc)

Length of Appointment
6 months minimum, renewable indefinitely as mutually agreed
Time Commitment
5 to 20 hours per week, negotiable. Minimum 5 hours per week, which includes 1 hour meeting with supervisor during business hours Eastern, to discuss priorities. All other hours are flexible and can be done during non-standard business hours. Hours could increase as workload increases
