This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Biomedical Services (BIO) team. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. This position is part of National Scheduling Team (NST) and is responsible for engaging and scheduling Volunteer Blood Donor Ambassadors.

Key Responsibilities
- Submit unscheduled volunteer hours
- Communicate regularly through phone calls, text messages, and emails with volunteers and leadership
- Perform data entry in Volunteer Connection
- Manage regional shift tools
- Provide subject matter expertise and support to Donor Ambassadors
- Submit departmental specific forms at the end of every shift

6 month commitment; renewable

Training
- Orientation to the American Red Cross
- Enhanced Volunteer Connection System Training
- Complete Self-paced Web-Based NST training within 7-day of acceptance
- Complete weekly assignment in a private setting
- Adhere to Red Cross privacy and confidential rules and requirements
- Self-paced online training
- Monthly One on One with Division Lead (Required)
Qualifications
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually (required)
- Access to a computer and Wi-Fi (Required)
- Access to a smart phone (Required)
- Good communication skills via both email and phone (Required)
- Clerical and computer skills required (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (Required)
- Willingness to learn Red Cross-specific applications (Required)
- Ability to lead others virtually (Preferred)
- Donor Ambassador experience (Preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills (Required)
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
Time Commitment
Minimum Commitment 2.5 hours per week and a 30-minute conference call twice a month
Sunday through Saturday (flexible schedule)
