Biomedical: BVWE Recognition & Appreciation Team Member
This position supports the Regional Biomedical Services department. The purpose of the Recognition & Appreciation Team Member is to ensure that all volunteers are appreciated and recognized for their efforts. The team member will assist in the development and implementation of both formal and informal department recognition efforts.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of both informal and formal volunteer recognition and appreciation events and programs
- Execute recognition and appreciation events and programs
- Promote a culture that supports volunteerism by reinforcing the importance of volunteer appreciation daily
- Support volunteer supervisors with ideas, tips, and reminders for ways to informally and formally recognize volunteers.
- Thank you calls
- Coordination of awards
- Thank You Activities for whole program, not position focused.
Training
- Onboarding with Blood Services Regional Recognition & Appreciation Lead, Biomedical Engagement Rep and/or Supervisor
- Biomedical Volunteer Workforce Engagement Virtual Training

Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs, required
- Cultural sensitivity to diverse audiences, required
- Knowledge and understanding of Red Cross services and operations and opportunities for volunteer service, preferred
- Work well both individually and with others, required
- Comfortable using a computer, phone and access to internet at home, required
- Basic Excel and Word experience, required
- Relationship building skills working collaboratively with staff/volunteer partners, required
- Experience providing employee or volunteer recognition, preferred
- Experience managing a recognition program, preferred
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
