DIV:VS - Division Volunteer Services Volunteer Connection Lead (North Central)
This position supports the Volunteer Services (VS) team at the Divisional (DIV) level. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The Division Volunteer Services Volunteer Connection Lead oversees the utilization and access of Volunteer Connection, the official American Red Cross volunteer engagement system. This position serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on Volunteer Connection to provide support to the DVSE.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a champion of Volunteer Connection
- Provide expert support and guidance to regional and divisional teams in the proper and maximized utilization of Volunteer Connection
- Conduct Volunteer Connection training, using official American Red Cross training materials for volunteers and volunteer supervisors
- Serve as a Volunteer Connection expert
- Provide data and analysis to DVSE to help maintain accurate information within the database
- Provide leadership and delegation to team members if necessary
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs - required
- Proven leadership in nonprofit or for-profit organizations - required
- Cultural sensitivity to diverse audiences - required
- Knowledge and understanding of Red Cross services and operations and opportunities for volunteer service - required
- Work well both individually and with others - required
- Prior experience using Volunteer Connection administrative functions - required
- Relationship building skills working collaboratively with staff/volunteer partners - required
- Understand the value of volunteers and provide leadership and support to ensure volunteers are productive and have a mutually rewarding experience – required
- Strong computer skills, preferred database knowledge - required
- Independently driven and well-organized – required
- Prior experience using Microsoft Excel - required
- Prior experience using Microsoft Access – preferred
- Prior experience using Microsoft Teams - preferred
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.

Length of Appointment
