This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. Works with the Regional Recovery Program Lead to provide oversight and leadership for the execution of Recovery Services within a chapter or territory.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the chapter/territory recovery team
- Oversee day to day Client Care Program
- Mentor and provide guidance to Casework Supervisors
- Ensure chapter/territory team members have the required training and RC Care roles
- Ensure that excellent customer service is provided to clients
- Watch for patterns of error so caseworkers can be mentored, as needed
- Work with community recovery partners to plan for community needs and long-term recovery activities.
- Represent Red Cross and work with local COAD groups.
Qualifications
Willingness to comply with Red Cross COVID-19 policies for in-person volunteer activities.
Recommend a GAP of REC/CARE/SV, or above, or a candidate for the GAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Has the ability to provide leadership & team building
- Oriented toward problem solving and has the ability to monitor and correct performance.
Deployment outside the region in a Recovery position is a plus.

Time Commitment
24 hours of classroom and on-line training plus local on-the job learning opportunities and Workgroups. These experiences help new caseworkers become familiar with their role in following-up with clients and in the community resources available to assist clients in recovery. Deployment opportunities vary depending on major disaster activity or disaster exercises (usually once or twice a year).
