This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services Development (ISD) and Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) teams. This is a 100% remote (volunteer-from-home) position. The volunteer partner to the Director of Quality, Data and Learning supports the portfolio of the Director by serving as a senior adviser in areas such as annual planning, performance management and business analytics, learning and development, Project Management oversight and Grants Management oversight.

Key Responsibilities

This position serves as one of several volunteer partners to the Director, Quality, Data and Learning in International Services and Service to the Armed Forces. The Volunteer Partner supports the portfolio of the Director through initiatives, projects, and tasks such as:
- Supporting business analysis for the department, including dashboarding, creation of Operational Reviews, and respond to data and reporting requests.
- Supporting creation and monitoring of operational, programmatic and strategic meeting governance.
- Creating and executing departmental Engage action planning to increase engagement of staff and ensure positive culture and satisfying working environment.
- Creating and executing volunteer engagement plan to increase competency of department to effectively mobilize, engage and recognize volunteer team members.
- Ensuring effective grants support to International Services leaders with oversight of their international grant portfolios
- Driving annual planning processes.
- Developing and supporting Learning and Development initiatives.
- Supporting other projects as assigned to improve processes and drive efficiencies within Grants Management, Project Management, Performance Management, and Learning and Development.
- Serves as a thought leader within the department.
- This position presents opportunities to support cross-functional work between the International Services and the Service to the Armed Forces Departments.

Required:
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- At least 5 years of experience leading projects or planning / change management initiatives; experience in people leadership.
- Experience with international relations, military culture or global initiatives
- Experience working with team members in an advisory and collaborative manner
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communications
- A creative self-starter who is able to successfully manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Experience navigating and reconciling competing priorities of stakeholders
- Passion for the Red Cross mission and a commitment to Red Cross values

- Ability to work in a variety of roles, including those of consultant, collaborator, and administrator
- Experience driving team engagement and volunteer engagement
- Experience facilitating meetings
- Experience in designing and monitoring KPIs and performance management systems
- Experience with Learning & Development initiatives
Time Commitment
- 2-15 hours per week, negotiable. Must be available at least 1 hour per week during 8-4 CST.
