Volunteer Opportunities

Key Responsibilities

• Package Materials: transform large quantities of materials into smaller, organized packages, ensuring efficiency and readiness for critical blood drives and donor centers.
• Prepare Shipments: Organize totes and pack boxes for timely shipment to blood drives or donor centers.
• Inventory Management: Stock shelves to ensure an adequate supply of materials is always available.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the work environment clean, neat, and organized.
• Material Handling: Safely lift and move boxes, adhering to weight limits (up to 35 lbs.) to prevent injuries while wearing closed-toed shoes.
• Team Support: Take on additional tasks as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

• Passion for the Mission: Show a strong commitment to supporting the Red Cross and its life-saving initiatives.
• Meticulous Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all tasks through exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong Numerical Skills: Demonstrate the ability to count accurately and follow detailed instructions with precision.
• Physical Strength: Safely and effectively lift up to 35 lbs, ensuring smooth operations. Closed-toed shoes are required for safety purposes.
• Experience in Regulated Environments: Preferred experience working in environments with strict regulations.
• Warehouse or Kitting Experience: Experience in warehouse operations or kitting is a plus.
• Adherence to Policies: Willingness to comply with current public health guidelines and Red Cross policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
