Cincinnati/ORV (NKY Counties, Adams/Brown/Butler/Clermont/Clinton/Hamilton/Higland/Warren/Pike/Jackson/Scioto/Lawrence) Counties - Youth under 18
Hello, and THANKS for your interest in volunteering with the American Red Cross of the Greater Cincinnati and Ohio River Valley!
When you sign on to become a Red Cross volunteer, you are becoming a part of the world’s largest humanitarian organization. Volunteers make up 96 percent of the national workforce needed to carry on our work. Each year over one million Americans serve as Red Cross volunteers, serving their communities in many ways: helping people during emergencies, teaching first aid and CPR courses, connecting families with military service members and educating communities in disaster
All of these efforts combine to help advance the mission of our organization:
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of
emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Youth volunteers contribute to our work by delivering preparedness education and by contributing to fund-raising efforts that fuel and stock our disaster trucks, keep our
preparedness efforts moving out into our community -- and even to help to curb
the spread of life-threatening diseases in developing countries. Our chapter even has a special place for youth to develop leadership skills, at our annual Leadership Development Center.
If that’s a mission you can believe in – you are in the right place! Once you have completed your on-line application, we’ll begin to search for the perfect ways for you to play YOUR part. Welcome to the Red Cross family.
