ADULT VOLUNTEER (18 years and older) RHODE ISLAND
- ADULTS (18 years and older) in RHODE ISLAND:
Welcome to the American Red Cross Connecticut and Rhode Island Region, where you can make a difference in someone's life every day. Thank you for making the decision to become part of a life-changing experience. (If you are under 18 years of age, please return to our Volunteer page and click on Youth Volunteer Application.) If you do not reside in Connecticut or Rhode Island, please go to www.redcross.org to find your local chapter's website and apply there.
After you have submitted your application, you will receive an email with instructions for logging into your Volunteer Connection account. On the Home page of your account, you will find the necessary steps to complete to be eligible to volunteer. You must log into your account to continue the process.
There are many opportunities available in our key services and we do need your help. Upon submitting this application, you will be required to view an online orientation to learn about the Red Cross. Please be sure to print the quiz score screen in each Module as proof of completion. (You will submit this at a future in-person training class/interview.)
The minimum age for Disaster Services volunteering is 18. You must provide your own transportation. You must complete all requirements for becoming a registered volunteer to be eligible for acceptance into the disaster volunteer program and subsequent training classes.
The minimum age for blood drive volunteering is 16. (If you are under age 18, you MUST complete a Youth Volunteer Application instead of this one.) To volunteer at blood drives, you must be available during the day Monday through Friday. You must provide your own transportation. A mandatory Blood Drive Training Class is required before you can volunteer at a blood drive. Please note: phlebotomy is NOT a volunteer position.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the American Red Cross. We look forward to seeing you soon!
