Step Into Service: Communications Volunteer

Step Into Service: Communications Roles — Info Session

Interested in supporting disaster response through storytelling, information sharing, and clear communication? Join us for a Step Into Service Information Session focused on Red Cross Communications positions.

In this session, you’ll learn how Communications volunteers help shape our response by gathering stories, capturing images, producing accurate public information, and ensuring communities stay informed during emergencies. We’ll walk through the different Communications roles, what a typical deployment looks like, and the skills that help volunteers thrive in this work.

You’ll also hear directly from a current Communications volunteer who will share their experiences, insights, and tips for getting started. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and explore whether Communications is the right fit for you.

Whether you're ready to jump in or just beginning to explore your options, this session offers a welcoming space to learn more about serving with the Communications team.

Date: Tuesday, April 28th

Time:  6:00-6:30pm
