The American Red Cross, with our community volunteers and partners, will be visiting homes to install FREE smoke alarms in Springfield on Friday, April 24, 2026.  There is no cost and no obligation other than your willingness to be at home to let us in when we arrive. 

We will place as many alarms as we think your home needs, in the right places.  These alarms have a 10-year battery so you can rely on them for years to come.  We will also help your family make an escape plan so you know exactly what to do in the case of a home fire.  Please just let us know that you'd like us to come to YOUR home!  We have two appointment time windows, 9am-11am, and 1pm-4pm, so you'll just select the time that works for you that day.
