Step Into Service: Shelter Associate Info Session

Do you want to make a meaningful impact when your community needs it most?

Join us for a Virtual Information Session to discover what it’s like to serve as a Shelter Associate—one of the essential volunteers who provide comfort, safety, and support to individuals and families displaced by disasters.

What You’ll Learn

During this session, you’ll get a clear look at:

  • The key responsibilities of Shelter Associates during disaster responses
  • How volunteers help create a safe, welcoming environment for clients
  • Training requirements, scheduling options, and how to get started
  • The real difference Shelter Associates make in their local communities

Hear From a Current Shelter Volunteer

You’ll also hear directly from an experienced Shelter volunteer who will share:

  • First‑hand stories from real disaster deployments
  • What it’s like to work in a team‑focused, fast‑paced environment
  • Practical tips for new volunteers

This is a great opportunity to ask questions and understand what it truly means to be part of the team that offers comfort and stability on someone’s hardest day.
