Founding Members and an Advisor
Being a founding club member is a big step towards displaying leadership and motivation. Starting a club is perhaps the beginning, but you will also be responsible for all members and ensuring that the steps are followed properly. Maintaining and managing club members can be a significant time commitment. It is important to consider time commitment and how much you are able to commit before proceeding with the steps.
- It is also important to have significant support from the school you attend; this is a partnership. We want you to have a great volunteer experience and give you all the tools for success. It is important to work with your school and find out what the process is for creating a club!
- Must Recruit at least 4 additional members
- The Advisor must be an adult and can be a parent or faculty/staff member of the school. They will also need to create a Volunteer Connection account. Work closely with the Red Cross Youth Manager to receive a unique link to ensure your Advisor has completed the application.
Getting Approval from Your School
It is important to work with your school to understand what the school may need to establish a club. The process a school may have may also impact how they work with faculty Advisors. We can assist you and your school to help you establish your club.
