• Description The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters, and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross Movement. In addition, the Red Cross Club at the University of Chicago will develop and offer services that address critical human, health, and safety needs of the communities which it serves and are consistent with the American Red Cross Mission.
