• Description The Cypress Bay Red Cross Club will focus on preparing students to be active providers to their community, teaching the fundamentals of public service, exemplifying the importance of community bonds, and creating role models that catalyze meaningful change. Members will become informed on disaster preparedness protocols, while working to promote and teach this information to the community through events. In the instance of disasters in the community, the active participation of members will be required to help provide humanitarian relief in the face of suffering. Members will also participate in events that help to solve persistent issues in our community, helping those who are less fortunate and empowering the community to take further action. To accomplish this and cement the fundamentals of public service, the Cypress Bay Red Cross Club will actively promote the numerous available training services the South Florida Red Cross Chapter offers youth members, driving overall involvement and further qualifying members to be active service providers in the community. The club will also organize fundraisers to generate money that will all be allocated to the Red Cross or one of its missions.
