• Description The American Red Cross is a national, nonprofit organization aimed at the betterment of American life. It participates in disaster services, blood services, citizenship classes, health and safety training, and an assortment of other areas. The American Red Cross aims at educating the public to prevent and assist in disasters. Its volunteers work around the clock to make this mission a success. It does this through services that are consistent with its congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross Movement. In addition, BU Red Cross Volunteers will develop and offer services that address critical human, health, and safety needs of not only the BU community, but of the entire greater Boston area!
