  • Description The purpose of the Jerome Red Cross Club is to help the community in the realms of emergency preparedness, health and safety services, biomedical, disaster, and international services, as well as providing aid to the armed forces. Some examples of these include hosting blood drives, fundraising money to send to countries that are struggling from the aftermath of natural disasters, writing thank-you cards to donors, and creating first-aid kits to offer to areas that are less fortunate than ours. Our mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering by using volunteers and donors in the face of emergencies; they will practice and learn emergency preparedness, such as becoming certified in CPR. Working with an international organization will provide us with an umpteen amount of opportunities to not only give back to the community, but to instill responsibility and gratefulness in our volunteers.
