• Description We strive to uphold and spread the Red Cross’ mission statement to “prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and generosity of donors.” Through disaster preparedness education, biomedical help, and service to the armed forces, Louisville has a great opportunity to help and impact, not only our local community, but the greater Los Angeles Region. Our new chapter of the Red Cross Club will be supported by our local Red Cross Unit, the T1 Youth Corps, and our purpose is to serve others. Members of the club will be able to participate in volunteer activities, such as organizing blood drives, preparing a Preparedness Education Presentation, attending Youth Corps events, becoming IHL Advocates to participate in the IHL YAC, and fundraising for the Red Cross. Club members will also help to brainstorm and participate in activities that will support victims of natural disasters and patients of the Red Cross.
