Description
American Red Cross at Cal is composed of a passionate group of college students dedicated to the mission and spirit of the Red Cross.
"The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors."
We provide students and the community free disaster preparedness trainings, CPR/First Aid/AED classes, operate one of the largest blood donation centers in Northern California, respond to local and national disasters, and raise awareness about disasters and international issues and how the Red Cross is involved.
Come join us and our various lines of service: Blood Services, Community Engagement Services, Health and Safety Services, Outreach Services, and Disaster Services.
Participate in events and volunteer opportunities such as:
- The largest blood donation center in Northern California
- Get CPR/First Aid/AED trainings on campus (cheapest around the Bay Area)
- Teach young kids and Cal students how to be disaster/First Aid prepared
- Respond to local and national disasters (Berkeley Fires, Asiana Crash, Hurricane Sandy)
- Raise awareness about big events going on around the world and how you can help (earthquakes, typhoons, flooding)
-Much, much more!
We look forward to working with you!
