• Description Red Cross Youth for Chinese Elderly (YCE) Program began with the mission to bring together youth, elders, and adult volunteers in the San Francisco Chinese community (then focused on Chinatown) to prevent, prepare for and cope with emergencies. A unique program within the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter, the nationally recognized YCE Program, which teaches leadership skills and provides volunteer opportunities for at-risk Chinese youth, has expanded tremendously since its initial inception.
